Ruby Tuesday's

I finally got to see my friends, Mary, Bucky, Sandy, Robert and the kids. I got to see Bucky's mom again and got to meet his maternal grandparents. I hadn't seen Doris since the house dedication, then I didn't get to talk to her much because things were really hectic that day. But Friday was Bucky's graduation from Pellissippi State and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. They were there which made it even nicer, to finally get time to carry on conversations with people I hardly ever see. We all met at Ruby Tuesday's for dinner before going to the graduation which was held at the Thompson Boling Arena. You know me, I had to take my camera with me. Here is Bucky when he first walked in the restaurant:

Grandbabies

I don't think I've posted the most recent pictures of my grandkids. I don't have a real new one of Nicholas, but I'll put one on that I don't think is on a previous blog. Anyway, this is Rebecca's picture that was made at school:

This is Billy's school picture. If you notice, it has the same background as Rebecca's:

Each Day Gets Better

Well, it's been a week now. I haven't told this person that I love them in a week. But the problem is, I do. I would die for them. Not for the 2nd party, but for the first one. I'm still angry, but it's not as bad as it was. I've been praying that I will have peace and a forgiving heart. My pastor said that I need to just let it go and let God handle it. I'm trying, I really am. That's easier said than done. For all involved (except me), it would be best if I just acted like none of this ever happened. I just need to program myself to quit being selfish and put others ahead of me. But then, that's what got me in this mess to start with. I will never again do the things I have done in the past to help this person. That is one thing I CAN do even if I do make amends. I think it would be very rude of this person to ask me to do anything to help again, after this. Just pray that I will listen for God's voice to tell me what to do. I'm sure it won't be what I want to hear, but oh well... When He tells us to do something, we'd better do it. I think He's giving me some time to stew about it right now. He knows I need to get my anger out.
Tomorrow is Bucky's graduation!! I can't wait! I haven't seen any of the family in so long! I feel it is such an honor to be included in their circle of friends. I'm taking my camera so maybe I can get some good pictures. Til next time...Bye!

Another Day

I feel a little better today but not much. Doug is trying to quit smoking so last night I put a patch on him and he hasn't smoked all day. He has a really bad cough and sounds like he's dying when he coughs. I'm still coughing but I'm not coughing up all the junk he is so when we're out of cigarettes, about 2 more packs, I'm going to go for it too. Why not? Can't be much more miserable than I am right now. One good thing has happened today. Rebecca and Nic went to church with me. And Rebecca's spending the night. Her mom has to work late. As far as the last post, not much has changed. In fact, nothing has changed. Still wishing the same things, but knowing nothing like that will happen til it's my time. :( But I've been working on a paper that's due the first day of school so that helps get my mind off things. I'm going to Morristown tomorrow to take a book back that I already have and pick up 2 more. Then I'll go to the credit union and get a money order needed for school, then go shopping. So I'll have a busy day tomorrow. I don't know if Rebecca's mom will be home when she gets out of school or not. So I guess I'll have to be home at 2:45 just in case. Oh yeah, Billy and Shelly came over and spent Friday night and Saturday I made pictures. Remember the mean dog I have? Well, he loves kids and lets them do anything to him, including riding him like a horse:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Not only riding him, but bouncing on him trying to make him go. And of course, loving him:.

And no blog would be complete without a picture of me and my precious Rebecca:

Oh, by the way, the comforter to match my pillow shams is back on the bed now. Billy kind of got it dirty when I was taking off his pants :o So I had to wash it. Until next time...Bye

A Broken Person

My world has been torn apart. Someone has done me very wrong and I don't feel like living anymore. I wish God would just take me on home. I had done everything in my power to help this person, but they threw it all out the window. They let the very person who had ruined their life on several occasions back into their life. My heart is dead. I wish I was. I don't feel anything but contempt, anger, and something that resembles hate for these two people. I know that's not very Christian like, but hopefully God will help me to overcome this feeling. Even if He does, I will still do nothing to help this person ever again. I am broken mentally, physically, and financially. I thought it would be worth the monetary loss just to help this person get back on their feet. I guess I was wrong. No one is worth this much pain. If you are this person, and you are reading this, then you know who you are. I hope you're happy. Let this person drag you down and control you some more. Let them drive you totally insane. Because I won't be there to pick up the pieces. Only 2 good things have come out of you. And you know what they are. Your life is now a shambles. You will be miserable again. You must like that kind of treatment. But I don't like being treated this way and I will make sure it doesn't happen again. Because if it did, I would probably make sure no one ever treated me like that again. I wouldn't be around to be stomped on. Don't think that thought hasn't crossed my mind several times the last couple of days. And it will probably continue to do so. I could say much more, but this person isn't worth the effort.

Happy Birthday Mama!

Yesterday was my mom's 78th birthday. Some ladies from church took her out to eat so there went my idea! When she got home Rebecca and I went over to her house and took her gift to her. Mama and I love Rebecca so much. Here are some pictures I made while we were there.
My beautiful Mama:

I tried to get a picture of her and Rebecca and the cat, Tippy. But Rebecca was hid:

Birthdays

Friday was Billy's birthday. He turned 4 years old. He's getting to be an old man now. His birthday party is at 5:00 today. So we'll be partying with him and Shelly in a little while. Yesterday was Rebecca's birthday. She turned 9 years old. Man! Doesn't seem like it's been that long since she was born and weighed in at a big 4 lbs 6 oz. She had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. I used to go to the nursery and feed her on my breaks at work. Rebecca is with her dad this weekend and will be home at 7:00 tonight. She asked for a skateboard for her birthday. So guess what she'll have here waiting on her when she gets home? That's right! A skateboard. But you won't see me out riding one with her. I'll ride a bike or something like that. But I'm not into broken bones.
Here are my birthday babies:

Rebecca's having a sleepover next Saturday at my house instead of a party. We'll see how that goes. I'll make pictures of the girls and post them if I'm still living.

I WANT A TOILET!!!

Man! Am I tired! And I still have about a week's work to do tonight. Doug decided to put ceramic tile down on the bathroom floor. So he took out the toilet, sink and cabinet and started it. But did he finish in one day? You guessed it...NO! I've been having to go next door to my mom's to use the bathroom. I'm determined the toilet will be back in tonight. I just finished gluing (concreting) the last of the tile. Now we have to wait on all that to dry and then put the grout in. Then we have to let that dry before we can put the toilet back. I'll stay up all night if I have to. It's going to look pretty though. We put up shower doors, painted the bathroom blue (kind of aqua), put up a new blue curtain, and the floor is kind of cream colored. I don't really know what color you'd call it. IF we ever get it done, it should look like a new bathroom. Right now I don't care how it looks, I just want my toilet back! Doug's not really having a problem with it being out, but then he's a man. ;) We are now official rednecks. We have a john in our front yard! LOL At least I haven't planted flowers in it...yet.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today is Easter, the day we set aside to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. To kids, it's a day to hunt eggs and get candy. Until they're big enough to understand, I will continue to hide eggs and buy candy. I think I kind of burnt them out on hunting eggs though. Before they went home, they didn't want to look for eggs anymore. But it was fun while it lasted. When I got up this morning, I couldn't find my phone. Doug said it was a day for hunting things, and I would have to find it. He had hidden it on top of the shift robe. And I found something outside besides and Easter egg. I was sitting on the porch where there is a flower box with no flowers in it, but it still has the dirt. Here is what I found:
Image hosting by Photobucket
It's still there. I think it must be laying eggs in the dirt. I didn't bother it, I hope it's alive. It doesn't look dead. Here's a few pictures of egg hunt:

Sorry, but I don't know how to make the pictures smaller. I used to but I forgot. Anyway, Billy and Shelly had to pose for a couple of pictures, so here they are:

I don't know why I didn't get more pictures of Nicholas. Normally, I get a bunch of him.
So that has been my day so far apart from going to church, which I'm getting ready to go back for the evening service. So maybe I'll be able to post more later (hopefully something more interesting). Have a very happy Easter!

Okay, after going through my pictures, I found that I had made more pictures of Nicholas. So I'll try to update now. Here's Nick finding eggs:

Here's Nic with all his eggs:

And just hanging out:

Here he is with the neighborhood cat, Peanut Butter:

And the frog IS alive. He's still in the flower pot but has turned around but still has his butt in the dirt:

So maybe we'll be having baby frogs soon! How cute!!!

Justin

Yesterday I had a rare visit from my sister and great nephew. Of course I went wild with the camera. I think he looks alot like my grandson, Nicholas. We took my mom out to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. We all had a good time. Of course, Rebecca went with us:

Gerry really loves her only grandchild. She has him spoiled rotten:

Of course, I kinda like him too (more like love):

He pushed the plastic picnic table all over the dining room:

It appeared that he and Rebecca were having an intense conversaiton:

And the dog, Troy, who likes to eat human body parts, has found another friend:

As you can see, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Justin's appetite:

He went after the food like he was starving:

We all had a good time at the restaurant:

When it was time for them to leave, Justin was tired and wanted his "Nana":

I really enjoyed their visit. I wish we could spend more time together.

About Me

I am now an RN. I love taking pictures, especially of my grandchildren. I love taking care of people and wish there was more time to do it. Management puts so much paperwork and picky stuff on us we really don't have time to do the job we are destined to do.
